Glass fusing retreat day near Canterbury, £119 per person
Join us for a day exploring glass fusing in the company of a few other like-minded people, on this glass fusing Christian retreat day near Canterbury. It’ll be a great opportunity to relax and take time out with God, with the option of joining in prayer using the non-denominational “Daily Office” from Celtic Daily Prayer by the Northumbria Community.
You’ll learn to cut glass and practise with a first creation using colourless float glass, before moving on to work with coloured Bullseye fusing glass. The theme of your creations is entirely up to you; you could make a finger labyrinth, a curved picture to stand in front of a candle, a shallow dish for a tea light or even a fruit bowl. On a previous retreat one visitor made a picture inspired by John 21, verse 11, complete with 153 fish!
Your glass will be fused after the retreat day finishes and will be ready for collection a week or so later (usually within a week).
What’s included?
Refreshments and lunches are included, together with all materials (enough to make two things 20 x 20cm- one from float glass and one from coloured glass), on-site parking and good company!
What about non-Christians? Can we come?
Yes, of course. Whether you have a faith or not, if you’re happy to respect the beliefs of others, you’re welcome to join us. We won’t “bible bash” you either; we respect everyone’s right to have (or choose not to have) their own beliefs.
