Glass appliqué gardens retreat, including visit to Canterbury cathedral and its private gardens

A restful May bank holiday retreat from Saturday to Monday, 10am to 5pm each day. £225 per person including admission to Canterbury cathedral and its private gardens.

For one weekend each year Canterbury cathedral throws open the private gardens within its grounds to raise money for charity. Join us as we explore the gardens and the cathedral itself, the home of the Anglican church worldwide. (While we’re running this event as a Christian retreat, all other faiths, denominations and none are also welcome.)

What’s involved?

We’ll visit the cathedral and gardens on the Saturday (God willing & weather permitting). We’ll take time to reflect on the beauty of God’s creation, taking photos & / or creating pictures on site. Bring your art materials with you; we’ll provide pastels, pencils and sketch pads too. Then back at the studio there’ll be plenty of time to translate your inspiration into a glass appliqué panel to take home.

The price includes refreshments, lunches, raw materials and use of our studio as well as admission to the cathedral and gardens. We’ll take a picnic lunch with us on the Saturday.
