Description
This fabulous fused glass art piece is a must have for any coast lover. It was inspired by watching the tide ebb and flow on one of the artist’s favourite Kent beaches, at Seasalter.
Meticulously designed using various sizes and shades of blue and grey glass to capture the rivulets of water and created on the sand and shingle as the tide ebbs and flows creating unique patterns and textures that delight the eye. It was then fired in a kiln at around 800oC.
The cast iron stand was designed by Charlie Dickinson of Sandhurst Farm Forge, Newnham, Kent who lovingly hand polished the metal to bring out the colours of the sea which further enhances the piece.
The glass and the stand together are a statement piece and its construction means it doesn’t only have to stand in front of a window to enjoy its sparkle. It would look delightful on a mantelpiece, table or shelf as the glass pebbles sparkle in the light just like sea-washed pebbles on the beach.

The piece is signed on the reverse by the artist.
