Description
This bible scripture from the book of Isaiah chapter 43, verses 1-3a is a source of inspiration and and comfort to many people. God promises protection and comfort, noting that difficult times (waters and fire) will not destroy his people. The artist has written out the verses in glass paint which is then fired in the kiln to bond it permanently to the glass. The verse on the panel says
But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.
This is a unique piece of art which the artist has signed on the reverse. The panel has the writing in a copper colour on an opaque peachy cream background. The panel has a decorative hanging loop so it can be hung on a wall or in a window. Alternatively it can be placed on a stand (not supplied) on a table, window sill or devotional corner in your home. It would make a thoughtful and unique gift for a friend going through a tough time.
The finished panel is approximately 20 cm (7.75 inches) long and 13.5 cm (5.50 inches) high.
