Description
This beautiful celtic cross has been made from transparent dark red and amber glass. The artist carefully selected the glass, cut each piece of glass and and handmade the cross using the Tiffany copper foil stained glass technique in her studio in the historic village of Chilham in Kent. She then finished it with a subtle copper patina and signed it on the reverse. The celtic cross is a symbol that combines a traditional Christian cross with a circle. The circle in amber transparent glass represents eternity and the endless nature of God’s love and the red cross represents the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. The cross has a sturdy hanger making it ready to hang in your window to catch the light or anywhere else in your home.
The cross is approximately 11 cm wide (4.25 inches) and 16 cm high (6.25 inches) excluding the hanging loop) and weighs about 100 grams.
