Join us for a traditional leaded stained glass for beginners and improvers weekend course. 10am to 5pm (approx.) each day; £150 per person for the weekend.

This is the perfect craft experience weekend, in the beautiful Kent countryside. If you’ve got Christmas all sewn up, come and let your hair down with us. If you don’t do Christmas, whatever the reason, come and join us and escape the crowds.

If you’ve not worked with glass before, you’ll start by learning how to cut and shape glass with confidence. If you’ve got previous experience, you can brush up your cutting skills or dive straight into creating your design; it’s up to you. In a small group of no more than four people, you’ll have plenty of space and be sure to make good progress.

What can I make?

You get to design your own leaded light (stained glass panel), up to A4 size, and then turn it into reality using our wide range of glass. You’ll make an artwork to be proud of; a family heirloom! People with previous experience can make something more advanced. If you’re new to stained glass, you should be able to make a panel containing up to ten pieces of glass; people with more experience will probably be able to make something with more pieces.

Bring some pictures, holiday photos or design ideas for inspiration (we have examples of designs here but it’s lovely to design your own) and be prepared to amaze yourself at what you can achieve with a bit of effort. All materials, lunches and refreshments are included.

Different people work at different speeds. You’re welcome to stay a bit longer on the Saturday if it looks as though you’d benefit from some extra time.
