Socially distanced Saturday glass fusing taster course for beginners

Celebrate your (relative) freedom with a glass fusing taster course in a very small group (a maximum of four to allow good social distancing). You can even invite a friend, but no hugging!!

Please note that should you (or we) be required to isolate at home due to possible Covid-19 exposure or symptoms, you’re welcome to a reschedule of your course or to a refund if you prefer.

Come and explore warm glass with us, using both float glass and then Bullseye fusing glass. On your Saturday glass fusing day, a generous quantity of materials, lunch and refreshments are included. Impress yourself with what you can create! Artistic ability is useful but by no means essential.

If you’ve not played with glass before, don’t worry. We’ll teach you and soon have you cutting with confidence. You can even make something beautiful without cutting glass at all! We have a wide range of colourful sheet glass, frit, stringers (think “glass spaghetti”) and more. Come and be spoiled for choice.

What can I make?

On your glass fusing taster day, you can make coasters, small dishes, window hangings & / or even art for your garden. The choice is yours; make several smaller items or perhaps a couple of bigger things.

Your glass will be fused after your course. You’re welcome to collect it or it can be posted to you. This typically costs around £7 depending on its size & weight.

Where do I park?

There’s plenty of free parking on the drive outside the studio. There’s even a free car park just across the road as well – even your car can keep its distance 😉

What should I wear?

Definitely not sandals or flipflops! Have a quick look at our website – basically any closed in and comfortable footwear, clothes that aren’t too precious & glasses if you need them. You’re welcome to bring a mask too, if you like.
