Glass fusing retreat day in the Kent Downs near Canterbury. £95 including lunch
This glass fusing retreat day is a chance to escape from the hectic pace of life, to take some quality time out for yourself. You’ll have the option to join us in a little prayer time, taken from the Northumbria Community’s “Celtic Daily Prayer”, though this is optional.
Explore your creative streak, using float glass first (easy to cut, so a great material to start with), before moving on to Bullseye fusing glass in a myriad of colours and forms. Even if your hands aren’t strong, there are forms of glass perfect for you; not all glass needs cutting, so don’t worry (though we’ve taught hundreds of people to cut glass, so fear not!)
In between pastries, lunch and afternoon tea / coffee, you’ll have time to make probably three items; if you make smaller things, you can make more. Hanging suncatchers, small bowls and curvy panels to go in front of a nightlight are all popular choices; it’s up to you.
The cost includes materials, use of the studio equipment, tuition, fusing and slumping, refreshments and lunch. Just bring yourself, some closed in shoes and a smile!
