Join us for a glass appliqué taster day – perfect for beginners and improvers in glass art; cutting glass is optional. Make something beautiful whilst caring for the environment.

Glass appliqué is similar to mosaic (it’s also known as stained glass mosaic), but you work on a background of clear glass, which lets the light shine through. The pieces of glass don’t need to fit accurately together, so it’s great for beginners and people who like the freedom of making something beautiful from precut pieces of glass. If you’re a seasoned stained glass artist on the other hand, you’ll find it a brilliant way to learn to use up your small offcuts of coloured glass.

For your glass appliqué taster day, we supply everything that you need. Just bring yourself, perhaps a friend, some closed-in shoes and a smile!

Learning to cut glass is optional on this course. Whether it’s your first time cutting glass or whether you’ve cupboards full of art glass waiting for a new use, come and join us. In a day, you can expect to make a panel of around A5 size.  All materials, refreshments and lunch are included, plus free parking.
