Our glass appliqué for Christmas and Hannukah one day experience is great way of making something beautiful from leftover pieces of beautiful stained glass.
Join us for the day in our spacious Chilham studio. It’s nestled in the Kent Downs area of outstanding natural beauty near Canterbury.
We’ll teach you to make a beautiful glass decoration using glass applique (stained glass mosaic). Whether snowmen and Christmas trees are your thing or if you’d prefer a star of David, candles, doves or abstract wintry landscapes, you’re equally welcome.
You’ll impress yourself with what you can create! Artistic ability is useful but by no means essential. You don’t even need to cut glass; you can make something beautiful and environmentally friendly from the colourful pieces of glass left over from our stained glass courses.
If you’ve not played with glass before, don’t worry. Glass applique (stained glass mosaic) is the easiest of our glass techniques, as the pieces of glass don’t need to fit neatly together and don’t have to be cut of you don’t want to. It’s also suitable for pregnant & / or breastfeeding ladies, as no lead is involved.
What can I make?
On your glass appliqué for Christmas and Hannukah one day experience, you can make a panel or picture (up to around A5 size) to take home & frame, or a couple of coasters. You’ll have the option to finish your creation with some grout if you like.
