2 day glass fusing experience course- two days of socially distanced escape!

10am – 5pm each day; £190 per person.

Tired of being cooped up? Been researching crafty things to try? Now’s your chance. We’re running this 2 day glass fusing experience in a small class with a maximum of 4 places, to ensure that there’s plenty of room for social distancing. You’ll enjoy two days playing with float glass and then with Bullseye fusing glass on our 2 day glass fusing experience.

As it’s on a Friday & Saturday, it’s also ideal for anyone who has to work on Sundays…

You’ll  be in a smaller-than-usual group in our Kent studio, with a range of techniques and materials to try out. (If you’d like to book for yourself and members of your own household, please contact us; we have space for up to six people provided that you all live together.)

Enjoy an in depth course in glass fusing, trying both full fusing and tack (contour) fusing. You’ll choose from a wide range of sheet glass, frit, stringers, confetti and our very own “funky frit balls”. You can make flat items, window hangings & / or 3D objects such as bowls or stand-up plaques. Things made the first day may be ready for you to take home on the second day. This depends if the kiln is cool enough to open though,  & isn’t guaranteed.

But I’ve never cut glass before- will I be able to do it?

Fear not. I love teaching beginners. You’ll have the chance to learn good glass cutting techniques (if you want to – it’s possible to make lovely things without cutting glass at all!). With good equipment, which is all here, you’ll amaze yourself at what you can achieve.

We will fuse your creations during and after your course. You can come back to collect them or we can post them to you (this typically costs around £7 depending on size & weight).

Materials, refreshments and lunches are included*; dichroic glass can be purchased if required. There are some lovely little B&Bs within walking distance in our beautiful village (if they’ve reopened by then). Why not make the most of the spring and enjoy a creative break with us.

*Our legendary home-made bread will be dependant on my being able to get hold of some bread flour, which at time of writing is rarer than unicorn manure!!!
